Our Instructor Qualification Clinics are taught while the instructor candidate shadows the Instructor Evaluator while teaching an actual ASA101, ASA102, or ASA103 class. We call these In-Class Instructor Qualification Clinics. We also offer typical Instructor Qualification Clinics at our sister sailing school, Delmarva Sailing School, that follow typical guidelines. ASA allows us to also offer IQCs where the Instructor Candidate shadows the Instructor Evaluator while the Instructor Evaluator is teaching a student level class. In many ways these In-class IQCs are better that traditional IQCs in that instead of the instructor candidate pretending to teach students, the candidate is in a real class.
Prerequisites: ASA201 candidates must be ASA101 certified to gain ASA201 certification. If candidates are not already ASA101 certified, they should either take ASA101 prior to the ASA201 IQC, or they can challenge ASA101. Challenging ASA101 can be performed during the ASA201 IQC for an additional charge. See ASA101 challenge on the Group Classes and pay by credit card page.
ASA202 and ASA203 Candidates must already have ASA201 Certification. You do not have to have ASA202 certification to take the ASA203 IQC, since ASA202 is not a prerequisite for ASA203.

Once you know the class date is available you can pay for the IQC with your credit card on this page. Please enter the date for the IQC into the box that requests class date at check out.
